Krazo Krawl 2007
Now that its over ---
Thanks to the great Turn-out of folks who joined the Uphill Krawl --- very slowly --- starting from the Pied Piper and navigating thru the Wagon Wheel and on to the Tiki where everyone danced to Cajun Mardi Gras music and had a Ball. Ambling uphill, unfortunately no taverns were open until we made a stop at Henri's where Fatima joined us and we all chanted Fatima! Fatima! Fatima!
Spending a half hour at most places we Krawled up to the Center PUB and gorged down some great New Orleans style Red Beans and Rice followed by a goodly flow of liquids. We then marched on to Jack's and again imbibed with a Toast to both Fatima and King Steve Schmidt who joined us with his wife Tracey. Here we chanted KIng Steve! - King Steve! - King Steve!
By now, we had collected about 60-70 of us that trouped into Chelsea's where a great time was held by all --- and then some. Here we danced to the brass sounds of New Orleans style jazz wailed out by Opal and gang. The Place was packed and the dance floor was crushed. Umbrellas always waving and bouncing about.
The Day never ended as we moved out by the numbers to a downhill ROLL to the CAT HOUSE where Jambalaya was dished out to all tired souls who remained the night. As for myself, I crashed down on a comfortable chair on the outside verandah to enjoy the sounds, the moods, the great abundance of people, and the promises of more to come for next year.
Most everyone were masked or costumed with about half the group coming from neighboring areas as far as Hot Springs. --- And an abundance of Umbrellas always prancing with their beholders.
Laissez les bon temps Rouler! We Rocked and Rolled!
Prepping-Up with an Up-Lift
On Leaving the Pied Piper
Leaving the Wheel and Moving on to the TIKI Torch
And from Henri's to Center St. Pub and then Jack's
And Chelsea's
And back to the Cat House
